Week one - New Zealand.

Been a busy busy week, non-stop busing, beaching and boozing. We've travelled through the middle of the North island hitting Rotoura, Waitomo and Taupo. In Rotoura we went Sledging; rafting on your own individual boogie board type thing through grade three rapids. It was much more demanding than anticipated, I could definitely feel it in my arms for the next couple days. Waitomo is famous for its underground caves filled with glowworms so of course we took an inner tube through one of the main caving systems to check it out. Kind of reminded me on lying under a REALLY starry sky, totally mesmerizing. Turns out they're not actually glowworms but maggot larvae with glow in the dark poo which attracts bugs  for them to eat. Totally ruins the effect. Today in Taupo Steph & I jumped from a plane at 15 000ft. Best thing I've done here so far, I think it'll have to happen again in Australia. Posted some pictures on Facebook, check them out there! We're off to New Zealands capital, Wellington, tomorrow morning then it's of to Australia on the 16th!
